In this hands-on studio experience, you’ll learn foundational hand-building techniques to craft a one-of-a-kind clay vase inspired by industrial textures and architectural forms. Think concrete finishes, layered surfaces, carved details, and raw, tactile character. We’ll explore texture tools, surface treatments, and subtle shaping techniques that give your piece depth and edge.
No prior clay experience is required — just a willingness to experiment and play. You’ll be guided step-by-step through construction, refining, and finishing techniques in a relaxed, inspiring studio environment. Your vase will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup after glazing (or choose to keep it matte and earthy for a true industrial feel).
Join us April 4 from 1:00-3:00pm and follow up with glazing on April 18 from 1:00-2:00pm.
