In this meaningful workshop, you’ll learn the technique of Metis flat beading while creating a stunning beaded poppy—a symbol of remembrance, respect, and resilience. Guided step by step, you’ll explore bead placement, colour blending, and the cultural significance behind the craft. This workshop offers a peaceful space for reflection and creativity, and you’ll leave with a heartfelt, hand-beaded poppy to wear or display in remembrance.
Join us on Remembrance Day from 2-5PM to create your work of remembrance. All supplies are included, but if you run out of time to complete your handiwork, anything required to finish it will be sent home with you. Taught by Lucy Lindell (@dotter_of_the_earth), Treaty 2 Metis artist, her expertise will ensure a successful project.
